Read below and let us tell you all about them. An educated consumer is our best customer.
CPSIA-The consumer Product Safety Improvement Act imposes third-party testing and documentation requirements, primarily on manufacturers and distributors of children’s products, defined as any consumer product intended primarily for use by children 12 years of age and younger. The regulations are administered and enforced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). In addition to children’s products, the CPSC regulates general use products as well as numerous other categories of products. “Red flag” substances that are monitored most closely are levels of leadd, cadmium, other heavy metlas, and six types of phthalates. The rules require that all children’s products:
1- Comply with all applicable children’s product safety rules
2-Be tested by a CPSC accredited third party laboratory
3- Shipments are accompanied by a written Children’s Product Certificate, issued by the manufacturer or distributor, providing evidenc of safety compliance.
4-Contain permanent tracking information on the product and its packaging.
