SOCIAL WORK MONTH – Government agencies that employ social  workers can show these dedicated do-gooders their work is appreciated with employee recognition gifts (www.socialworkers.org).  Nice boxes of chocolate, umbrellas and planters are always a nice way to say Thank-You!

MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS MONTH – Colleges and Universities as well as private and local school districts can run outreach campaigns that encourage alumni and community members to support the music programs. The schools can give nice gifts to the donors like branded sweatshirts, mugs and musical note design items. Cookie cutter shaped notes is a great novel idea.

NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH –  This is the perfect time of year for promotional campaigns based on nutrition and health to get people to eat healthy and exercise more. Gyms, corporations, hospitals, colleges, yoga studios,  health clubs, health food and vitamin stores, sport clubs and teams are perfect for these campaigns. Fruit-infuser water bottles, water bottles with shakers and compartments for powder proteins, and lunch coolers and containers are a few ideas to present. All will be used and appreciated.

COLIC AWARENESS MONTH – Doctors and health-care providers can educate expecting parents about colic, a condition where otherwise healthy newborn babies cry for hours daily. Branded pamphlets and guide wheels offering information are perfect items to hand out.

MARCH 1, NATIONAL HORSE PROTECTION DAY – Equestrian organizations seek to raise awareness about neglect, homelessness and slaughter that many horses in America face like to support education campaigns with items such as branded horse brushes and shorshoe shaped items. Custom horseshoe chocolates make great hand-outs. Personal fact, we owned a dude ranch once and I loved riding and taking care of the horses.

MARCH12, GENEOLOGY DAY – Help companies with expertise in ancestral and gemological research implement special promotions around this day. Example: people who sign up for a website like Ancestry.com receive a tote bag, coffee mug and/or tee-shirt.

MARCH 17, St. PATRICK’S DAY – Craft beer companies and local breweries will be planning events and offering specials. Connect with clients, promote your swag with T-shirts, caps, bottle openers and coasters. The ideas are endless.

MARCH 20Th, GREAT AMERICAN MEATOUT – Grassroots initiatives aim to promote vegetarian lifestyles by encouraging people to go meat-free on the first day of spring. (www.meatout.org). MARCH 25, NATIONAL PECAN DAY! – Celebrate this day by bringing in a bag of Pecans or your favorite Pecan Pie.

MARCH 26, NATIONAL LEGAL ASSISTANTS DAY – Partner with law firms to provide appreciated gifts for the legal assistants who provide important support to lawyers. Great gift ideas are Spa baskets, iPad covers and cases and  vacuum sealed travel tumblers.
