April 2, International Children’s Book Day

floating book Floating Book.

Since 1967, on or around Hans Christian Andersen´s birthday, 2 April, International Children´s Book Day (ICBD) is celebrated to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children´s books. http://www.usbby.org/icbd.html. Any day that celebrates  children and reading I am all in for.

Branded bookmarks, pencils, erasers and stickers decorated with storybook-style imagery –  are all items bookstores, libraries and schools can give to children who attend special reading events.
